Submitted by: JohnD Answered by: Mark Hood (general manager, Sierra On-Line) "The developers don't actually make the decision, our customers do. However, the proposals which come from the designer or other developers can drive that decision a lot. "If we have a series which has done fairly well, we will probably do a sequel when and if we get a great proposal. It's a fine line between giving people more of what they liked and wanted, and yet still coming out with an entirely new experience. "If a particular product didn't do very well, we analyze why it didn't. "But assuming it was a good game, with high production values, was fun, and was solid, then we have a pretty clear picture of what we could expect from a sequel." |
