"Why don't more designers use humor in their games? It makes a game better to be funny sometimes."

"And other times it just really screws it all up! Callas, I think the answer is simple: humor is hard! (Who was it said the famous line, 'Dying is easy; comedy’s hard!') But you’re right. Look at the ratio of action movies to comedies, the ratio of TV dramas to sit coms, the Hallmark versus the Shoebox greeting cards (oops, poor example!) and one would think there would be more humorous games. Maybe it has to do with all those programmers being math- and procedure-oriented instead of word and random access. I know I’d play more games if I thought they’d make me laugh!"
